Tuesday, GEO4A gave a guest lecture #cropmodels at the #WUR (Wageningen University). Subject of the lecture was, the application of models and what the added value is for the agricultural sector.

We took an enthusiastic group of students through the modeling, calibration and validation of the WOFOST model and GEO4A models. The different models are marketed as a services, and on the other hand they serve as input parameters for different business processes. In addition, an explanation was given, how models can support/reinforce each other.

The guest lecture concluded with substantive and practical questions from the students, following the Plant Production Systems and Farming Systems Ecology modules.
